DIY Merchandise

Postby Lazers » Thu Nov 04, 2010 6:59 pm

Hi Guys,

The subject of Club Merchandise seems to be under consideration a bit! I know Ive tried to get it going in the past. Why haven't LML, LML Italia and/or Barrus ever got their fingers out?

As Phil mentioned, the LML Calender 2011 will be sold on e-bay and thus is not just for sale to registered members, but it's the only way we can get one printed without us incurring any up-front costs from a Bank Account we don't have. At least it might bring in new members.

To continue with Phil's reference to his own web-site (Laurie's Post, "Done & Dusted) on our's there are some Vinyl Stickers on the Homepage. I believe that the Administrator paid up front the minimum order quantity price. They are being sold, including postage at cost price. So far only 4 sets have been sold.

As the Admin pointed out in the reply to Laurie's post re ID Cards, it's all about money up front, holding stock, accepting orders, P&P and Personal Time - unless you can get a Supplier of merchandise interested. We are not as big as the LCGB or Vespa Club and we do not charge for the privelage of membership.

I for one would like very much to have a LMLOCGB.co.uk T-Shirt & B/Ball Cap, but would realistically expect that for everyone one sold, there would be 100 Lammy & Vespa T-shirts sold.

One way around all this would be for LMLO's, individuals or mates like in a Scooter Club, to design and produce your own merchandise. If you can incorporate LMLOCGB.co.uk (I can supply the above Artwork) then all well and good. I'm pretty sure there is plenty of creativety amongst members and it would be good to see it - our own way of doing things as opposed to all the others wearing official club stuff.

Cheers, Paul

I hear you Paul....it would be nice....as a "start"...I dont mind researching T shirt prices etc...I have recently done the same for a club here. I ordered 50 polo shirts that had an embroidered badge and then lettering underneath.....good quality ....we sold then for a tenner each....cost to us was about eight quid........obvioculy the more you order the cheaper it is......I will have a wee look and get back to everyone............

polo shirt the same colour as yer scoot...club badge on it....member name underneath badge..??????????

Okily Dokily Nick :D

OK had a brainstorm

I have been lookin around the tinterweb and basically you need capital to order a lot of t shirts........polo shirts about 10 each to buy !!!...normal T shirt about 8

so

had a look on ebay as i have bought a few Quadrophenia etc t shirts on there....why dont I e mail one of those guys and give them our design.....then he puts it on ebay for us all to buy and personalise it with our names under the logo...simples....

no upfront fee....nobody out of pocket....we win..they win..

Wottya reckon ???????

Hi

I wonder if you can help me please.

I am a member of a Club and we are thinking of organising a Club Polo Shirt. We are a national club with just over 400 members at the moment. Now im not saying they will all want a T Shirt but there is a good chance a fair lot of them will. We are a Scooter Club, and more Specifically, the LML Owners Club of Great Britain.

We would basically be looking for the attached Logo, with the words "LML Owners Club of Great Britain" above it and then a members name underneath.

Now, our club is free. We dont take any contributions, joining fee etc.

What we were thinking of is that we could contact someone like yourself, who could store the art work and we can direct all members to your ebay shop/e mail address, and make each transaction between you and the member..Is that something that could be done.?? If so what kind of price would we be looking at per shirt.?

Thanks in advance

Tony Hannah

Sorry, I just don't like the LML banner as a logo... if we had our own club logo that was reletively cool (well cool in my eyes anyway) then I'd happily display it or get it embroidered onto a polo t-shirt.

For example, if the club logo were more along the lines of this:
Image
Then I'd whack one on my leg shield and would happily wear a polo with this on, or even a t-shirt with this printed larhe on the front. Now I'm no graphics expert and that was only knocked up on MS Paint, but to me it's more of a logo then the blue and red LML banner. Yeah we are a club about LMLs, but do we need to use their banner in our own club logo?
WARNING! Some slogans on the merchandise may cause offence.
