I agree - I hate Kissball

Ever hear the phrase, "the day started so well - what went wrong?"

As usual I got to the boot sale at 7 a.m. Nice and sunny, loads of stalls & loads of top gear. First stall I went to I saw a couple of Wolves shirts, so I started checking them out. The stall-holder asks if I'm a Wolves fan. "No, the other lot", sayeth I. Turns out him and his Wolves-supporting mate are jointly hosting the stall and he's a Baggie. We get nattering & he's got a spare ticket for today's game, which I was pondering going to anyway. So, I end up getting a £10 ticket, a free lift to the game and a new mate. Result!

Then it started to go pear shaped. Possibly the worst I've seen them play since.....er....the last time I saw them play. Can't think of a good word for them today - absolutely clueless, pedestrian, seemingly gorged out on Valium. Can't recall a shot on target. Swansea are a fairly decent team, but it's the easiest 3 points they'll ever pick up.

Major grumps. Grrrr. I fecking HATE kissball.

Of course, you are right, Mikey. When we win again it will be the best game in the world. I'll pencil that in for November then ;)

I vented my spleen on Radio 5's "606" - though I hate the program, I just needed an outlet (got to speak with Ian Wright, Kev!) I was asked if I'd fancy us getting Jermaine Defoe and I replied to the effect of not minding who we get as long as he's committed to the cause & knows where the goal is. Sick of whingers like Odemwingie, and not keen on having players like Anelka who is past his prime and just wants a couple of seasons getting handsomely paid without busting a gut. Kanu was in similar mould. Bloody Arsenal rejects!

Ok, conscious that this is turning into Kissball Forum, so will end there.

You don't really need a striker now you have Allardyce though - if you draw every game 0-0 then that's your 40 safety points - job's a good 'un! ;)

Forget the champs league Tony, the toughest match you have is the cup game against the mighty ton. ;)

Appraisal -

Scored 1 (thats 2 goals in 2 caps not done in 37 years)

Set up two of the other goals.

Leading Englands attack on Tuesday against Ukraine.

I rest my case - thank you and goodnight!

Up the Saints!

Aaaah, Laurie, but I suspect you know what is bound to happen next, as with any quality player for a (no disrespect) smaller club? Yes, of course: "cherio, cherio, cherio...." ;)
