A1 MOD 1 TEST

Postby Hastbrit77 » Tue Aug 02, 2016 4:38 pm

Hiya guys,

Hey guys, I have a PX 125 deluxe star, and want to do my full bike test.
When doing this the bike couldn't reach the max speed needed which
Was 50 kilometres the bike would only get to 44-45 and that was going
For it. Has anyone taken the full test on a
125 scooter ? And had this issue?
And if not how did you manage to complete
The test?
Did you have to add a kit and fix up the bike
Spending lots of money!

Any help would be helpful!

I just think it's crazy that scoots are not
Able to make he speed they need! It's
A lifestyle choice

Is the scooter totally standard?

The easiest thing to do is to do it on a bike to be honest.

yeah standard, took it to a garage said about changing the rollers- but later called me stating still wouldn't get up to speed
and would have to get a kit put on but that i would also need to change other parts more parts to the bike and then I would have to break it in
for 600 miles.

the whole system is wrong- scooter drivers should be able to use their own bikes- don't you think?

I don't think I could drive a normal gear bike- Id have to book more lessons meaning more money.

god all i wanna do is drive with no l plates and take my partner on the back.

Hang on what scooter do you own ? The PX and the star dlx dont have rollers as they have a manual clutch.

The law is a bit of a pain but riding a bike isnt much different to riding a geared scooter or if you want the auto license you could hire/borrow/test ride a gts for the day.

i have a 2011 star deluxe 125cc LML
well he said he would take a look and see if he could make it set off faster than what is was as i could get it up to 44 from the bend needs to be
50 kilometres, so not much in it really. I have also contacted the Norwich test centre explaining my issue.

I have booked my test for the 24th Aug but don't think ill be able to do it now- gutted.

what do you think the best thing is- I thought about adding kits but don't know much about it only have to be carelful it doesn't cut out.

is it all worth fitting kits and if so what the best action?

Yeh there are no rollers in that scooter. Might be worth taking it somewhere where they know what they're talking about.

Fit a sip road 2,up jet and Rev the tits off it round the bend in second and you should be able to do it.

what is the best website to order from- I only got to the 24th Aug to get the bike up to the speed!! lol

people talking about Polimi cast kit and that- but again not sure- as i need again to break it in first- however i won't be going much faster is just
i need the speed fast
