Better after the medication, thanks for asking :D

It was a bit gusty in places but mainly I was either riding in to it or it was behind me. Got caught in some turbulence behind a fast moving bus which knocked me around a bit which wouldn't have bothered my old much bigger bikes. Its a learning curve, which reminds me, the tyres (S1's) were brilliant today, I must update that other post. I got rid of the whiskers on the tread which seem to make a big difference on these little tyres. I'm beginning to understand why people have owned scooters all their lives.

Trust me, the bigger bikes get knocked about too. My old GT550 was blown from lane 3 and nearly into the crash barrier on the hard shoulder on Monday morning on the A299 (I was off to Margate). Thought I was deaded. Learned quickly that 50mph was a safer speed than 90!
Nice to have a reality check every now and again  Cant wait to get my scoot and be forced to travel a more sedate pace :D

How many miles do you have on your running in? Is it easy or do you keep having to stop yourself flooring it?

Well that's an interesting question! I read the manual that came with the scoot and I'm sure it said 1000km for running-in and for the first service. Before answering your question I checked the pdf version of the manual I got on-line and it says 2000km. Hmmm, not sure now. I thought 1000km was going to take a while but 2000! Well I've already taken it gently up to 45mph but most of my riding is at 40. It has a narrow power band and it seems easy to drop out of that when going slowly in town in 4th. I think the main thing is not to strain the engine and use good quality 2T oil. Asda have a special on Castrol Power 1 for £5 or about half price, so I bought loads :D
I will check the scoots manual later and let you know.
