Belt out of order (3900 km)

Postby B31 » Sat Jun 18, 2016 4:07 pm

Bad Saturday today (I'm in France ). : my scooter stopped after a weird noise ("chlonk") ..the scooter started again but nothing happened when I wanted to accelerate (as if i was on a neutral position ).

I bought this LML auto in July 2013 and it has only 3900km on the speedo...my dealer thinks it might be a dead belt , known issue in his model ..I'm very surprised , as this belt has to be checked (or changed ?) every 12000km..I will ask my dealer to pay at least for 50% of the fixing cost ..

He said that he would fit a "reinforced belt"..

I will keep you informed soon guys

Oh dear that’s bad !!!

3900 km isn’t that much. Did you do the 3500 km service? If so, the mechanic should have seen that the belt isn’t in a proper shape.
I had the 500km service last week. My mechanic had to fix a broken crankshaft seal and a loose steering head bearings.

Regards, SRV.

Hello, I have my LML auto repaired , belt changed, part number C- 48000000 with a retail price = 36€.

With the labor time, total cost is 123€ including VAT.

I advice all the LML auto buyers to have their belt replaced by a "reinforced one " before it's too late.

They also changed a hose impacted after the belt issue and did not charge me.

Now, I'm going to send the invoice to the French LML import company to be refund because it's not normal to change a belt after only les than 4000 km
