Mixture screw

Postby Twowheels » Tue May 23, 2017 6:24 am

Two videos I've seen on utube say that turning the mixture screw in weakens the mixture and turning out enriches?, thought this was an air screw so it must be the oppersite. Also who sells a good selection of idle jets please, thanks.

Hi Twowheels,

It's a fuel screw, not an air screw.

Most places sell jets, Beedspeed, Allstyles, SIP, Tasso, Ebay etc etc. They are all the same as far as I'm aware, I've never heard of good quality or bad quality ones, but happy to be proved wrong.

Cheers,

Leigh.
Another fine tip stole from Mick Maidment!!!!

Just bought a set of ten main jets 100-110, because I've heard that does most of the mixture setting from a little above idle. Fuel screw is only 1/4 turn out at the moment and still "pops" at the carb mainly when warming up.
