I know someone who's done it! I'll have a chat with them to see how much hassle it was and just what needs doing.

I'm positive he said he got everything working on it... there was actually no trace of LML left to the eye on the scoot as far as I could tell and this is when he said about getting the speedo to work. The scoot is pearlescent candy apple green with all white rubbers and white seat if you ever see him at a rally or show, ask him. He's the cousin of one of the blokes in the Plym club, I've only seen this scoot fully built up once as it's not his everyday ride. I don't see him very often but I'll definately ask him next time I see him as I quite fancy doing it myself.

Well done mate, thats a great step forward for the "I wish my LML was really a Vespa brigade" , of which I'm deifnately one  . Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to follow the said instructions and do us a nice little 'how to' post so we can copy you!

Why not just get a hammer, tipex, felt tip pen and cling film and use them in that order.
I mean if your trashing a perfectly good lml then why not ruin it properly

Well apart from the food, and the country, and how minging it is out there, I mean did anyone see an idiot abroad this week and he went to the nice parts.

Why such loyalty to a brand that has let the geared scooter enthusiast down so much ?.

I know the history and that but face it the LML is not a Vespa it just looks like one .

Personally, I cant get in the least bit enthusiastic about "LML", their brand, logo, history anything - I have tried, but can't ;) . LML didnt 'invent' the geared scooter, they didnt design the PX shape, they just manufacture someone else's design, and God bless them for doing so. I'd rather Vespa still made the PX, but they dont, so the next best thing (for me) is to replace bits of the LML where it isnt quite to my taste, with Vespa parts. I wouldnt ever try and kid on that my scooter is actually a Vespa of course, I'd be honest if asked.
