Might want to turn fuel tap to off when leaving it, used to get the odd bad staring due to flooding on mine and used to smoke bad when it started.

You don't need much choke, start on choke and ride off straight away and push choke in straight away. The 2t does smoke for the first few yards.Cheers Nick

i have just upjetted my scoot and now it does about 60 with the wind behind me , as for the white smoke on startup i'll just have to put up and shut up , could be a bit embaressing on the rallies , namely iow , ho hum

One thing that may help is when you are parking your scooter up for the day, turn off your petrol tap and let it idle until it runs itself dry which usually takes a couple of minutes. Then as Nick suggested, when you next start it, push the choke in straight away as soon as it starts and let it run for a short while before riding off.
Or... you could always buy your neighbour a gasmask.
Nigel.

Had the same problem with mine from new, was told by the dealer that it was fuel in the crank due to the tap being left on and would burn off, after 2 weeeks it hadnt so i took it back, turned out to be a faulty oil pump, an o ring had jammed it so it was injecting to much oil.... may be worth getting it checked out.

So it was obviously your gearbox oil that was being burnt up
not the 2 stroke oil ? Alot of bloody work to change two pissy things, glad it is all sorted for
you now.
