Front mudguard rubber/trim

Postby DinoF » Fri Jan 31, 2014 8:11 pm

Has anyone protected the edge of the front mudguard by putting on some sort of rubber trim?
If so what type and do you need to cut the sides of the trim to get it around the corner bits. Has anyone ever made something similar to the carb rubbers you can buy that are already pre-shaped?

Tks

Why, but if you have to use glovebox rubber and soak in warm water for 5mins, dry off and fit. There is also chrome trim that can be used, you will get both from beedspeed. Once in place use tape to keep it in place overnight. If that does not work putt some gasket paste in the rubber and use tape again to keep it in place.
if you want a cheap option why not use electrical tape, two or three layers should work, make sure its clean and dry, quick wash with petrol should do the job.

I wouldn't personally it will trap water and promote rust. :D
