speedo lens replacement

Postby DapperDan » Wed Jun 29, 2016 3:16 pm

Anyone done it? I bought a replacement lens kit from beedies a while back (this one, https://www.beedspeed.com/vespa-speedom ... n9liqlhr50 and need to get round to fitting it soon. Is it a simple job, how do you get the old lens off, will i f**k it up? i've heard a few horror stories of people trying it and making a total mess of it because the lens is supposed to be a nightmare to get off.

Not done one myself, but maybe a steady hand and a dremel to cut the retaining ring off.Careful not to get too much heat and melt the speedo unit plastics.Cheers

Get the metal bezel too, and mastic it in, its what I did when trying to get a custom speedo made for mine.
