I'll definitely be popping across the water to Guernsey. Not sure what others I'll be doing yet.

Ride to rally, arrive Friday night, pitch tent, start drinking, go to a do, continue drinking, try and sleep while someone razzes their scoot round the campsite all night. wake, decide best cure for the hangover is a drink, continue drinking, wobble round a custom show and parts fair, maybe do the ride out if not too pissed, more drink, another do, another crap nights sleep, banging hangover for the ride home on Sunday. Food is optional. Promise yourself you'll never do it again, by Tuesday you're planning the next one 'cause there is nothing quite like being with a few hundred to a few thousand (depending on the rally) like minded souls.

Look being a new era mod you could also just get a B&B not get hammered, and still go to the custom show and trade stalls but be able to remember it, whilst mixing with the 10'000 odd like minded soles on the IoW.

Its how I did the IoW this year, so much more civilised ;)

You had better be quick for a B&B on the IOW.
Kite Hill camp site is closed to scooterists this year so campsites are booking up, ours was half full 3 weeks ago!

Heard they did it also last year mate, not sure why though, but our campsite was much fuller last year than previous as a result.

""""""""""""UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE""""""""""""""""""
IOW Bank Holiday
The rumour that Kite Hill IOW is going to be closed to scooters over the bank holiday has been going around our scooter club for some time.
Thought I would give them a ring today as I have a day off to ask why. Seems its an untrue rumour that has been put out. They are open to just scooters that weekend and are refurbishing at the moment and so can do with the money. They weren't closed last year either.

As I believed what id been told and mentioned it on this forum, I thought it right to redress the issue.

Hope this helps.

Kite Hill was certainly taking scooter riders in 2014 - half my club were there!! Also saw the Scooter Surgery staff there too.

Pondwell is a good campsite for the IOW rally (I've just checked and they still intend to allow scooterists for the bank holiday weekend), a decent amount of wash facilities, a good pub at the entrance to the campsite and bl00dy good tumble driers for anyone who gets caught in the rain on the way. Worth a thought for all those stuck for somewhere to stay, but don't leave it too late to book as they don't allow the place to get over filled. They also have challets there, but annoyingly you can only book them from Sunday to Saturday which really p1sses me off as they'd be ideal for the long weekend and are usually empty. You never know, you might be able to work your charm on the phone and convince them a weekend booking is a good idea.
