Most of that lot's changed again m8, no need for the breathalysers anymore or the vest (although I always carry one). Bulbs still required and reflectors front back and sides of helmet. The french laws seem to bloody change every couple months.

geezer, im off to france the week before on me bike, pity that. as for breath kits im told they are still required but the fines for not having them are waived, due to protests. silly really, reflecters on lids, not heard of that one. i aint sticking nowt on my helmet, cheeky gits. got a breath kit off ebay, french legal of course, for less than a fiver , so why not carry it just in case.

Dunno how current this site is, as I said... the laws seem to change every couple months. But it mentions the lid reflectors which I believe have been law for a couple years now:

You also must have a mirror on the left side, but again, I've never heard of anyone being stopped for it.

Different location this year Nick, it's at the campsite of "A l'Abri de l'Océan" in Baye. Off tomorrow evening; ferry from Plymouth leaves at 20:45... Gonne be a lot of English over this weekend.
