Grips

Postby mbikeboy » Thu Mar 16, 2017 4:47 am

I couldn't help but notice how crap the grips are on these scooters, so I started digging through my box of random bike parts. I've found a pair of new Domino motorcycle racing grips, but I don't fancy cutting off the original ones until I know what grips fit...I'm assuming that they are a fatter diameter than motorcycle grips and likely to run into some dramas given the throttle one is always larger in diameter. What's everyone else using? :)

I have chrome end caps lml with soft rubber, very easy on the hand. I had beedspeed grips in chrome, the ones made up from rubber rings, found these comfortable as well. Rob

Oops guilty, as I get older vibration makes my hand numb! Found the thick rubber soft grips good for distance, the Sundance grips had the rubber band spacers but not as good. I find those who ride distance have stuff on the scoot different to those doing short trips. Mainly to keep dry, warm and help with those aches!!!!!

I also think the stock oned look a bit cheap so bought some new old stock black rubber piaggio ones. Think they were about £4. They also look cheap, but atleast they're not pretending to be something they are not. Hate fake chrome.
Who need's brakes? They only slow you down!
