Air filter box clearance

Postby NEIL_HUTCH » Thu Aug 23, 2018 5:16 pm

Hi,
I'm sure this has been asked and answered before, but I just can't see the topic.

The filter cover on my LML star is very close to the body. Is this ok, and if it's normal can I just cut some of the body away to make space. I'm after one of those veturi kits to be fitted when the scooter goes in for a crankshaft upgrade.

Cheers in advance

The filter box is shaped to fit under the panel. I fitted my venture kit in the filter box, no filter, then added a foam filter to the box where corrugated air pipe exits to frame. . Did not see much improvement to be honest, unless highly tuned engine. Pinasco/bgm/scooter centre have fast flow SI carbs give quicker throttle response, better fuel intake, more reliable to set up, rob..
